Tail cable

Tail cable material:

High-elasticity fibers such as polyamide fibers(nylon), polyester fibers(polyester), and polyester/polyolefin double fibers are not recommended. Polyethylene fibers and polypropylene fibers are not recommended.

Tail cable type:

Single-leg tail cable,circular tail cable.

Connection form:

Double hitch(Cow  hitch),metal  shackle. Unless otherwise specified,it is recommended  to use the double hitch for connection.

Tail cable length:

A typical tail cable is 11 meters in length. However, for open mooring berths, it is recommended to use 22-meter tail cables to enhance the impact resistance of the mooring system. The length of the tail cable should be selected based on the location of the berth and the usage environment. The principle for choosing the length of the tail cable is to minimize the dynamic load generated in the mooring cable due to the ship's displacement without exceeding the ship's displacement limit.
