Difference between flexible sling and flat sling

The two types of lifting straps have different processing techniques. Flat straps are woven, dyed, and sewn together. Flexible suspenders are made by processing raw materials that are laminated together. The use is the same, but the two types of straps with the same load and length have different prices.

Flexible sling is lightweight, with only 20% of its weight compared to chains of the same load. Taking the large tonnage flexible sling as an example, it is made of 100% PES, and the internal load-bearing core is wrapped infinitely to form a cyclic 100% PES woven into a stress free sleeve to protect the load-bearing core.

The advantage of flexible sling lies in its multiple lifting methods and uniform force distribution, which not only extends the service life of the sling but also enhances the safety of the lifting site; Under strong impact, flexible straps will flatten, so the risk is minimal; If encountering some dangerous environments, flexible straps will not produce sparks, reducing the risk of explosion.

Flat sling is a relatively economical and practical lifting strap, and manufacturers can provide customers with single-layer, multi-layer, four layer and other types. According to different usage scenarios, flat straps can be classified into ordinary, fireproof, fluorescent, high-strength, acid resistant, wear-resistant, oil repellent and waterproof types. Flat straps, due to their wide load-bearing surface, can reduce the pressure of surface loads and do not damage objects with smooth and fine surfaces when suspended. If necessary, a wider protective cover than the sling can also be used, and the surface can be treated with PU hardening to enhance wear resistance.
